The Nike Air Max 1 "By Day" is a tribute to the Centre Pompidou, designed by French architect Georges Pompidou in the 70s. It is well known that the Centre Pompidou was the decisive factor and inspiration for the design of the Nike Air Max 1, because Tinker Hatfield wanted to portray the interior to the outside as he did for the museum. That's how the famous and beloved Air Window was created! For real Nike Air Max 1 fans, this sneaker is a must in the collection!

The Retro Edition of the original blue color of the Nike Air Max 1 was released in July 2009 as a limited Quickstrike (QS). The shoe is true to the original in the colours white, blue and grey, unfortunately the shape of the 2009 release is slightly curved upwards compared to the original of 87. The blue Nike Air Max 1 OG QS was available 2009 together with the second red OG Colorway at selected Nike QS stores.

The Nike x Patta Air Max 1 QS "Chlorophyll" was released in 2009 for the 5th anniversary of the Amsterdam Sneaker Store "Patta". The mudguard and swoosh of the Nike x Patta Air Max 1 QS "Chlorophyll" are made of a green "Chlorophyll" coloured cord, which gives the shoe its unique look. The shoe was first sold at the Patta Store itself in 2009 and then later at a few selected Nike QS Stores.

The Nike Air Max 1 Premium "Beast Pack" was available as a Limited Edition in a few selected shops in 2007. Just like the Air Max 1 "Animal" parts of the Uppers of the "Beast" Air Max 1 are covered with leopard fur imitation.

The Nike Air Max 1 Supreme "Animal Pack" was released in 2006 as a Limited Edition in the shops. The Nike Air Max 1 Animal was released together with a Nike Air Max 95 in the pack "Animal Pack". The upper of the shoe is covered with leopard, tiger, zebra and cow fur imitation which gives the Air Max 1 its "Animal" look.

The Nike Air Max 1 x Patta x Parra Burgundy was released in early 2010 for the 5th anniversary of the Amsterdam sneaker store Patta. The shoe was released as a Quickstrike in a very strictly limited quantity and was only sold in a handful of shops, such as Patta in Holland, Colette in France or 1948 in London. The upper of the Nike Air Max 1 x Patta x Parra is completely in Burgundy and on the insole you can find motives of the Dutch artist "Parra".
