Adidas UltraBOOST 1.0
The world keeps on changing and recent times validate such statement. Trying to stay one step ahead of the competition, 2015 was marked by the introduction of the adidas UltraBOOST. The technology itself was not new (the EnergyBOOST was the first adidas shoe to feature BOOST technology), however it was embraced by athletes and hypebeasts, all at once. To make things simple, adidas collaborated with BASF to create specialised TPU pellets for the midsole, helping runners get the most energy return. Adidas UltraBOOST 2.0
Some say that the UltraBOOST was adidas secret weapon, donned by Yoham Blake and David Villa in early 2015. The release was so successful that even Kanye West wore them. As expected, everyone jumped on the Yeezy train. Apart from minor twitches, the UltraBOOST 2.0 had a greater lifespan. In addition, as the sneaker community started to get tired of white midsoles, German’s finest quickly came up with the formula to colour BOOST, increasing their reach.
