In 1980 the adidas Marathon was the hottest running shoe from adidas. It was the first running shoe with air-technology inside. Runners from all over the world excited about this style. Till today, the adidas Marathon is one of adidas’ classic sneaker. Especially the outsole with the many “Trefoil” makes this sneaker unique and one of a kind. Almost 40 years after the release, the Marathon had its comeback. Its new redesigned silhouette is called Marathon X 5923 and is a hybrid sneaker. The upper comes from the Marathon which was assembled on the midsole of an adidas I-5923. This all new sneaker combines the best features of two generations – the nice upper made of mesh and suede and the clean midsole. This is how you make a hybrid sneaker.
