Since decades the design is unchanged and till today it looks modern and stylish no matter what season it is. The sneaker first appeared in 1974 for the basketball parquet and remained a sports shoe for the first time. A good ten years later, the Converse One Star found its way to streetwear, as Japanese vintage sneaker collectors became aware of the silhouette. The small hype around the sneakers in the early 90s had the consequence that Converse needed the One Star as a retro on the market. Since then, the sneaker has been an integral part of Converse's range.
